What God Can Do with No Arms and No Legs....You Have a Choice.

Sisters, I love this article so much I want one of my own just like it ten years down the road!  Besides the fact that it takes place in my birth country, the message was so obvious it was as if God was reaching out with two arms shaking me and asking me "Do you get it?".  Please take time to read it here when you get the chance.  

I used to think that I was a unique individual with a tank full of energy, enthusiasm and passion. I am now realizing God designed you and me with the very same qualities.  And with those qualities, He can perform miracles and wonders that will heal and transform this world.  On the NBC show, The Voice, one of the contestants, Holly Tucker, chose to sing How Great Thou Art in front of millions of viewers.  When asked about her song choice she said, "I know not everyone will believe the same thing I believe.  And that's ok.  But it would be a shame not to share ALL of who I am."  This is something I have been feeling the very day I decided to put ALL of who I am out there for everyone on Facebook, Google, YouTube land.  Some may think I am crazy. Some may think I am fanatical.  Some may be inspired.  Regardless, ALL need a living hope. Like me, they may not need it now or may think they don't need it.  They may hate it (At first, the apostle Paul sure did too didn't he?). But there will come a time when the fight with that brick wall leads to a search for a better way.  When that happens, I want to be there pointing the way.  And I know for sure God will be there ready to receive!  

We have a choice in how we live our lives.  We can be mediocre. We can be bitter or resentful about our circumstances, our past or how others have wronged us.  We can make excuses about our mental or physical limitations.  We can sit and watch.  Or we can go out and be givers of hope, light and life and be the best that God created us to be.  Look around, as you can see, He's got a fantastic track record with His creations.    The choice really is yours.  But make it soon.  Life really is a vapor. I pray you will choose to be God's best and give Him EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT! 

Lord, I am so thankful for brothers like Nick Vujicic.  Thank you Father for stepping in when he tried to drown himself.  Thank you for blessing him with a powerful story and an equally powerful passion to tell it.  Lord right now, I pray you prepare us.  Strengthen, equip and inspire us to be the women of faith and love you created us to be.  Do miracles in our lives and marriages.  Let our marriage be a ministry for others whose marriages need repair and restoration.  I ask you to daily slough away the dead cells in our heart that prevent us from loving you as fiercely as you love us.  Spread your love, message and kingdom through us.  Silence the enemy's voice in our lives.  USE US NOW! USE US TODAY! IN A BIG WAY! In the name of Jesus. Amen! 

Blessed Be the Name of the Lord!

In sunshine or rain. In abundance or pain....BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD! Sisters, if you're going through a valley, keep the faith despite the pain and allow God's hand to pull you forward! It's not until you reach the peak that you can look back and say without a shadow of a doubt that it was the Lord's grace and strength that got you through. And if you're living in abundance, share it! Tell others of His goodness. Do for others what God has done for you! Regardless of where you're at BLESS HIS NAME!

What a Mighty God We Serve

Sisters, we serve an AMAZING God who glorifies Himself through the prayers of His sons and daughters. This was from our church medical missions trip last year in the Dominican Republic. I have used it and continue to use it as one of my backbones for faith. How do you need God to work in your life right now? Message me so I can pray for the God of the imPOSSIBLE to glorify Himself, once again, in your life! I must warn you...your life will NEVER be the same. You will fall in LOVE. You will be on FIRE. You will want to tell EVERY SINGLE SOUL what He has done in your life. And you will want to stop wearing make-up because you'll cry EVERY TIME you think of how good He is and how much He loves you. Then everyone will ask you if you're ok, and you'll tell them and start crying all over again! Just a warning :) Love you guys! 

A 19 month old who should have been walking, came in having only been in a crib and not able to do anything but lie on his back. Classic failure to thrive. We prayed over him and God worked forming and strengthening the muscles allowing him to roll over, get up on his forarms, get up to his hands and knees and then sit up on his legs. Stuff that usually takes months of development happened in minutes.

Our minds are too small to fathom how God could take one of life's most devastating loss and use it for His glory and lead you closer to Him. Every time I am faced with a painful, impossible or even tragic situation, I always hear Jesus saying, "Don't be afraid. Believe." (Luke 8:50) and "Didn't I tell you that if you believe that you would see the glory of God?" (John 11:40) This is my girlfriend Laurie's post I wanted to share with you. Whether you are dealing with a broken marriage, financial stress, troubled child, sickness, death or anything threatening to steal your joy.....DON'T BE AFRAID. BELIEVE. AND SEE THE GLORY OF GOD! And notice the only thing separating you from FEAR and GLORY is BELIEF!

"I truly believe that most Christians have a crisis in faith at some point in their journey. As I have said before, my own personal journey will forever be divided by "before" and "after" Gage's accident. "Before" I always felt my faith, love, and pure thankfulness was a natural and beautiful thing that flowed directly from my heart. Of course, I had doubts, most everyone does, but my faith always returned to me. It was and always will be my foundation. "After", well, lets just say it has been a mighty struggle. The doubts and confusion took up more than a little space in my head. I kept on and on though. As usual, I turned to my most trusted method.....reading books. Hundreds and hundreds of them. Books on life after death, people who had returned to life after visiting heaven, growing up in heaven, etc... and of course the Bible and my daily devotional. The problem was that I inherited from my father a very analytical mind. There were problems for me with "proof". That horrible night in October, I wasn't "mad" at God but I remember clearly thinking even THREATENING God, “Everything that I have ever known to be true and believed to be true about you, BETTER BE!!!” Of course, you can ask Phil, God and Gage have tried so hard to “prove” it to me in the form of answered prayers, unexplainable moments of pure peace, and “signs” from Gage that were more than mere coincidence. But each thing, each book, still left me wanting something “MORE”. Years ago, I saw that my brother was reading a book entitled The Case for Christ. I asked him about it and he said it was good, but nothing further came from it. Long story short, I picked this book up about a week ago, and all I can say is WOW! I think that small little piece of the puzzle has finally dropped into place for me. Something that will forever leave me convinced that I have truly chosen the right path in my choice for Christianity. Never again will I doubt. This book was written by a crime reporter and atheist who approached the case for Christ like a jury trial. Looking for “evidence” of Christ the man, are the gospels true, is there other, circumstantial evidence that proves that Christ is who He says he is, the true Messiah, the one predicted in the Old Testament, that would reconcile all of humanity with God the Father. Well, if I was sitting on a jury, I would vote a resounding YES! He is! I wrote this because I want others who may be going through a crisis in faith to take a chance, pick up this book and decide for yourself that there is NO DOUBT!!! Although I know that I will forever carry a burden of great sadness for Gage and all that we will miss in this life, I also will carry HOPE AND ASSURANCE that we will be together again one day. And what a glorious day that will be!! P.S. You can watch the documentary on this book online, although, I wasn’t nearly as impressed by the film as I was the book because the book spells out in greater detail answers to some of the toughest questions that non-believers have. It even presents the opposite viewpoint, and how it is so fundamentally flawed. OH! And by the way, the author converted and now travels the world sharing the good news with others. Thank you Jesus for leading me to this book, once and for all erasing all doubt from my mind. "- Laurie Edwards

Lord, I know we ask for a lot of things from You. And I thank You for hearing and saving all our prayers. Today I just ask for more of Your Spirit in my life and my marriage. Our own efforts alone are either mediocre, fruitless or destructive. But Your Spirit with us and in us takes us to unimaginable heights, touches the lives of many and glorifies Your name. Right now, may You pour out Your Spirit and do amazing things in the lives of those who read this. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!!!!

You are Not Alone

For "you were like sheep going astray," but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. - 1 Peter 2:25

Over and over again I am meeting women whose husbands have left the home. Often it is during the worse time when they are raising an infant and/or the wife has been staying at home and hasn't worked in years. Some husbands, although still in the home, have checked out mentally, leaving their wives to carry their load day after day.

Sisters, if this is you, I want you to know I am praying to the God of the impossible that He may pursue your husband just as the shepherd does for any lost sheep. He did it for you. He did it for me. What makes us think He can't do it for the hundreds and thousands of husbands (and wives) who have lost their way? If that isn't enough for you, know one more thing...I was once a wife who got lost on the path of death and destruction. Satan had deceived and warped my mind so much that my heart was no longer with my family. I pursued and worshiped a lifestyle of sin and wealth that left me broke and broken. But sure enough, the Great Shepherd out of His grace and mercy did circles around me until I fumbled my way back to Him and my dear husband. Today I bask in His green pastures, with more love and provision than I ever thought possible.

My dear sister, you are not alone. We are lifting you up in prayer. We will walk along side of you. Your Heavenly Father sees you. He loves you so far beyond your capacity to understand. You WILL stand victorious, you WILL finish the race, and you WILL be rewarded both in heaven and on earth. May the Lord strengthen you. May you be so overwhelmed by His Spirit that you are numb to the hurt and pain that the enemy wants you to feel. The evil one wants you to be crippled with blame, hurt and resentment. May you dance with joy and praise for The Lord's faithfulness. May His grace multiply your efficiency and resources. May His Spirit be upon your kids to protect, encourage and nurture them. May you forgive and live in peace. In the name of Jesus. Amen!

Believe and See

(Written April 1st, 2013)

Sisters, this was written from a dear friend of mine, Laurie, who lost her son on his 17th birthday in 2011. The morning after the accident, we all drove to the crash site and my dear sister lead us all in prayer offering her son back to his Heavenly Father. It has been, continues to be and will probably always be a difficult journey for them. However, it is the beautiful, powerful, bittersweet testimony that this family lives out day after day since this tragedy that wakes up your "old man" spirit and makes you want to stand on the top of your roof and shout to every single person that Jesus is not a fairy tale and no matter how much you are dying inside, there is ALWAYS HOPE, ALWAYS LIFE and ALWAYS GLORY when God is given an invitation.

John 11:40 Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?"

"I missed saying this yesterday, but I want to share it anyway. I was reflecting on the meaning of Easter, and I just want to say THANK YOU. Thank you Father for showing us that it may look like it's over, but it's NOT! This should be a day of hope for all of the world. Not only did Jesus Christ die on the cross to forgive us our sins, but then he ROSE AGAIN and when he did that, He showed us that He also gave us LIFE EVERLASTING! Yesterday I was praising and thanking God all day, because of Him, I WILL see my son again, as will all of my family. We will live joyously in the kingdom of Heaven all the days of our everlasting lives because Jesus died and rose again!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Jesus."- Laurie Edwards

And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).

When some of those standing near heard this, they said, “Listen, he’s calling Elijah.”

Someone ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down,” he said.

With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.

The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, “SURELY, THIS MAN WAS THE SON OF GOD!”

The POWER of the Resurrection!

(Written March 25th, 2013)

I can't prove to you that Jesus died and rose from the dead. I can't prove to you that He was born of a virgin, fully human and fully God. All I can say is my life was once a complete wreck. I didn't care about anyone else but me. I was living in darkness and sin. However, one "coincidence" after another pointed to Him and The Cross. There comes a point in your life when all the "coincidences" can no longer be coincidences, but the very hand of God moving. Today I see God work in my life and others EVERY DAY, SEVERAL TIMES A DAY! I see Him work through the prayers of a sinner like me. How do I know God exists? When I was flat on the floor, dying a spiritual death, my life, marriage and family in shambles, events happened that allowed the pieces to be glued back together. Nothing I did. Nothing my husband did. Just God breathing new life into me and my husband and resurrecting our marriage. How do I know God exists? I've seen this simple cause and effect play out in my life. Believe in Him and His Son. Follow His rules (none of which will harm you, but keep you out of trouble!). Receive His promises of love, hope, peace, provision, completeness and a whole lot of miracles along the way. The Cross is REAL. Jesus is ALIVE! Amen! Hallelujah! Welcome and unleash the power of The Resurrection in your life!

Pressing On!

Sisters! So much is happening in our lives! So many of us waiting patiently for the Lord. Let's keep pressing on like the sick bleeding woman, desperate for and dependent on Him. Just as she pressed on through the crowd, you can press on through the negatives, the impossibles, the heartbreaks and grab a hold of the Lord's hand. Years of suffering gone, in just one moment.

Whatever heavy loads you are carrying, pour out your heart and burdens on Him. And know that you are just a touch away from His healing and comfort. Love you! -Ai

Mark 5 - A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

A Slave for Love

ARE YOU A SLAVE FOR LOVE?

I remember the dating phase of my life very fondly. You meet. You go out. You talk. You have fun. You think to yourself, "Man, this guy sure is swell! I love spending time with him. He makes ME laugh. He buys ME flowers. He makes ME feel special....." Then you get married and you might hear something like, "Why am I always picking up HIS socks? Why do I have to put away HIS laundry? Why can't HE make HIS lunch?" (I can almost hear you giggling right now! You know we have all thought this at some point in our marriage!)

It's funny how we sometimes forget why God created marriage when we get married! Teamwork! You have weaknesses. He has weaknesses. You have strengths. He has strengths. When you unite, your combined strengths are so strong that it makes the impact of your weaknesses almost negligible! Think back to algebra, if the positives are greater than the negatives, you move FORWARD in a positive direction and leave the negatives in the dust! You will go further TOGETHER than you would INDIVIDUALLY. Your marriage becomes a POWERHOUSE!

There's a reason YOU pick up HIS socks. It's YOUR strength! And it also helps your husband out! There's a truth I learned not too long ago that our husbands are OVER-WORKED, OVER-STRESSED AND UNDER-SERVED. And that's exactly how the devil wants it. In football, if the opposing team can take away the key players' impact, they win the game. Your husband is a key player and leader in your family. When men are exhausted, they can't be the ultimate men, husbands, and fathers they are destined to be.

Matthew 20:26-28... whoever wants to become GREAT among you must be your SERVANT, and whoever wants to be FIRST must be your SLAVE— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to GIVE HIS LIFE as a ransom for many.”

These verses say it all. Want a GREAT marriage? SERVE! Want your marriage to SHINE? SLAVE for it. I love that Jesus used "slave" to drills this into us. It reminds us that we will need to do things we don't want to do. Then He says that's not enough. You must give it your all...YOUR LIFE! Wow!! Here's a person I love. I'm not only going to give him my love, devotion, and service. I give him MY LIFE! Whew! Digest that!

Lord, thank you for revealing such powerful truths and wisdom through Your Word. I am realizing that it's going to take more than what I am equipped with to make this happen. On my own, I get can get exhausted serving. I even grumble at times. I need Your love, strength and Spirit to offer my husband what You have called me to offer. Help me to recognize the areas in his life that need replenishment and let me come to his relief. Revive him. Revive me. Revive our marriage. We will give you the credit and glory! In Jesus' name. Amen!

No Right or Wrong. Only LOVE.

1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

There are times when I feel and hear God speaking to me in my heart. And there have been times when I hear Him speak as if someone is standing in front of me talking to me. On one occasion, I was doing dishes and upset about the way Dave was handling a situation with our oldest son. I felt like he was being too unreasonable. It was definitely rubbing me the wrong way. As those thoughts and feelings started to eat its way through me, His Spirit said, "THERE'S NO RIGHT OR WRONG. ONLY LOVE."

As soon as I heard that, I immediately saw nothing but LOVE. I realized that Dave's actions were stemming from LOVE. He did what he did, because he LOVED our son. When I acknowledged this, my LOVE and appreciation grew. Because I realized that there are kids who wished they had dads to bend over backwards for them. There are kids who wished their dads were around to even get mad at them. I felt LOVE for Dave for caring so much and hurting so much when our son fell out of line.

This simple wisdom the Holy Spirit taught me has extinguished many fires and even prevented them from igniting in our marriage. I wanted to share this with you and pray it helps you as much as it helps me!

Father God, I thank you for what you are doing in my marriage. I thank you for teaching and guiding me. Forgive me for storing up any anger or resentment towards my husband. Give me peace and strength to let it all go and embrace the beauty of our marriage. Let me see my husband the way You see Him. Highlight the qualities and strengths that I have overlooked. Make him more like You. And make ME more like You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!

A Powerful Revelation

Matthew 16:15-19

15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

How powerful it is for our husbands to KNOW that Jesus is the Messiah of the world and the Messiah of his life! This truly is a revelation and gift from heaven and not achieved through human attempt. When your husband receives this revelation, THE WORLD BETTER WATCH OUT!!! He will be a rock for your family and the kingdom of God. The Lord will build on this rock and **NOTHING** can or will tear it down!

Lord Jesus, I pray you reveal yourself to my husband. Let him fully see, not with earthly eyes, but with the eyes of heaven who You truly are. The Messiah, The Savior. The One who was, is and is to come. The Lord of his life. Unleash the power and blessings that come with this revelation. Use his life as a rock to build something spectacular and awesome for Your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen!

Can you IMAGINE what happens when ONE MILLION WIVES pray this prayer for their husbands? (goosebumps just thinking about this!)

The Faith of a Canaanite Woman (Matthew 15)

21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” (1st REQUEST)

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. (2nd REQUEST)

26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” (3rd REQUEST with more conviction!)

28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

PRAISE GOD FOR THE POWER AND GLORIOUS RICHES IN HIS WORD!

ONE MILLION PLUS!!

While driving in the beautiful snow yesterday morning, and watching the snowflakes fall, one after another, God used that to tell me One Million was just a number He gave me to get me motivated and moving. I had to chuckle because He sure does know me!!! If He were to give me the actual number from the start, I would have offended Him with my lack of faith. I love how He chose to reveal this to me AFTER I took my first step in launching One Million Wives! Because now I BELIEVE!

FAITH LEADS TO ACTION, LEADING TO MORE FAITH LEADING TO MORE ACTION! Matthew 17:20 I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Matthew 13: 31-32 “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field;and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and next in its branches.”

Matthew 13:58 And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.

HOW MANY MIRACLES ARE YOU EXTINGUISHING IN YOUR LIFE DUE TO A PUNY FAITH? Sisters, it's time to train our faith muscles! Let's plant our faith in HIS LOVE! It never fades, never fails, never leaves! Isn't it great to know that you can step out on a journey full of miracles with an ALMIGHTY GOD WHO IS CRAZY IN LOVE WITH YOU, MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER LOVE HIM? WHO CRAVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN CRAVE HIM? WHO WANTS TO SEE YOU SUCCEED MORE BADLY THAN YOU DO?

GEESH! WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?!!!!

Sisters, some of you are hanging on to a thread in your marriage. You are living with a room mate instead of a soul mate. I want you to know I HAVE BEEN THERE AND FIGHT EVERYDAY NOT TO GO BACK. My heart aches for you and your husband. I know it wasn't always like this. I know it's hard to believe that this man was once that hot guy that gave you butterflies. God's love NEVER FADES, NEVER FAILS, NEVER LEAVES! You can have the same love and relationship with your Savior as you do your husband. God will work a miracle in your marriage, just as He did in mine! If this is you, I am praying His Spirit prompts you to just send me a message saying, "Ai, please pray for me." You don't have to give me details. Just know that together, you and I can pray and multiply your faith and love in your marriage! And we can be a part of the ONE MILLION PLUS WIVES with a marriage that moves mountains!!! Amen! LOVE YOU! SAY AMEN AND LIKE. SAY AMEN AMEN AND SHARE!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

How appropriate that the Lord chose Valentine's Week to show me how much work is still needed within me to have a kind of marriage that glorifies Him. This past weekend Dave and I were just annoying each other. Nothing outright mean or serious, just rubbing each other the wrong way. We were misinterpreting the other person's tone of voice. I don't know what was going on in Dave's mind, but for me I was simmering and my self talk was agitated to say the least. I took one instance and in return responded negatively in every encounter with him.

Then Sunday morning during quiet time, I read Matthew 12:34-37 34 "You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? God showed me that I was nowhere close to what I "thought" I was and what I am now is not going to cut it. My words and attitude towards Dave showed me there's still a lot of evil in me and only complete parasitic dependence on Him will clear it out. Although it wasn't outright mean, it wasn't good and it wasn't with a pure heart. And if it wasn't good, it was evil. And if I wasn't gathering, I was scattering. I was humbled and re-grounded. I repented and called Dave to apologize for ruining his morning. God wasted NO TIME in showing His approval. Just this week He lead us to a financial breakthrough that neither one of us had thought of before. And He revealed it to my husband, not me. It is reinforcing His promise in Proverbs 3:34 to show favor to the humble and oppose the proud.
